Saxum, an integrated communications firm offering public relations, marketing, creative and social media services, recently announced the promotion of Debbie Schramm to president. In her new role, she will be responsible for managing the growth of the company and its integrated services for clients.

“Saxum has experienced significant year-over-year growth since its founding and has evolved into an integrated communications agency with a diverse set of employees and clients,” said Saxum Chairman and CEO Renzi Stone. “Even in this economy, we continue to grow by giving our clients a bold, integrated approach we call the Saxum Experience. With her extensive background in our industry and strong management expertise, Debbie is perfect for this role, especially as we continue to expand our team and recruit additional digital, marketing, public relations and creative professionals.”

Schramm previously served as executive vice president and general manager at Saxum. She came to the agency from Tronox (formerly Kerr-McGee Chemical), where she served as director of investor relations and communications, and she previously served as vice president of corporate communications for Kerr-McGee Corporation, managing the company’s global communications programs.

Saxum has quickly become one of the fastest-growing integrated communications firms in the region, with offices in Oklahoma City and Tulsa. Posting double-digit annual growth from more than 10 to nearly 70 percent each year since its inception in 2003, the firm has been ranked the past two years in the list of the top 100 independent public relations firms in the U.S. by O’Dwyer’s PR Services Report.

The agency has been named to the Metro 50 as one of the fastest-growing companies in the Oklahoma City metro area for the past five years and is a member of IPREX, one of the world’s largest public relations networks. Saxum serves clients in Oklahoma and across the country.
